Inspired by a glass of Chardonnay in the garden and four words: Spring, Gold, Taurus, and Earth. I imagined the delicate harmony behind a single glass of wine and wove a story of interconnected life, drawing from my Eastern European and Slavic heritage with mirrored paper-cut imagery. Each piece layers flowers, vines, birds, and people into a unified landscape, inviting you to imagine a world shaped by harmony and care.

Dorothy Siemens is an illustrator, printmaker, and designer based in Portland, Oregon. Their work explores form and color through warm, textured shapes, bold palettes, and spirited figures that come together to tell atmospheric and emotive stories. With a style rooted in both playfulness and intention, each piece invites the viewer into a richly imagined world.
